Lo focuses her practice in the areas of employee benefits and executive compensation. She counsels employers on a variety of benefit arrangements including health and welfare plans, qualified retirement plans, and executive compensation agreements.
She has experience helping clients with:
- Advising plan sponsors and fiduciaries on compliance with applicable laws, including ERISA, the Internal Revenue Code, HIPAA, COBRA, and other regulations;
- Drafting incentive plans, deferred compensation plans, and equity-based compensation arrangements;
- Drafting and advising on compliance issues associated with employment, bonus, separation/severance, consulting and professional employer organization (PEO) agreements; and
- Drafting demand letters and contract addendums.
Lo’s practice is enhanced by her strong commitment to diversity initiatives. She participates in various DEI and mentorship programs.
While attending law school, Lo completed Michael Best’s Summer Associate program. She assisted firm attorneys with legal research, drafted and reviewed contracts, and prepared memoranda. She also participated in the University of Wisconsin Law School’s Moot Court, Immigration Law Clinic, and Black Law Student Association. While serving at the Immigration Law Clinic, she interviewed clients in Arabic, Spanish, and English languages. Lo also gained experience as a Law Clerk for Quartz Health Solutions, where she focused on regulatory compliance issues.
