Representative matters include:

• In Re the Rehabilitation of the Segregated Account of Ambac Assurance Corp., Case No. 10-cv-1576 (Dane Co. Cir. Ct.) (Jan. 22, 2018). Won court approval of a $5 Billion debt exchange transaction to facilitate a successful exit of the Segregated Account of Ambac Assurance Corp. from an insurance rehabilitation, the largest in Wisconsin history. *
• Obtained favorable settlement for client involving former employees’ violations of non-compete agreements and misappropriation of trade secrets.
• Strategically moved prior to trial to obtain substantive damages rulings, forcing the insurer to settle and sparing the client the expense and hassle of trial. The federal court’s order on the motions established that our client, a company specializing in hazardous waste management, could recover attorneys’ fees and damages incurred from the clean-up of an environmental contamination site because the insurer breached its duty to defend the company.
• Experience with coverage litigation involving environmental claims and coverage arbitration regarding consumer privacy concerns.
• Coverage litigation arising out of concussion claims by NFL and NCAA athletes; the underlying litigation involved MDL matters by players alleging personal injuries against the NFL, NCAA and their helmet manufacturers.
• Represents clients in claims involving medical devices, products liability and construction defects.
• Represented a former inmate prosecuting claim under 42 U.S. Code § 1983, through jury trial in federal court.
