Kenny counsels entrepreneurs, start-ups, and other high-growth companies on a wide range of business matters throughout their entire lifecycles, from formation and funding to significant transactions and exits. He also represents venture capital and angel investors with their investments in start-ups.
In addition to being an attorney, Kenny is the founder and CEO of a boutique fitness brand he launched in 2017. From leading fundraising pitches, to working with engineers to build a product prototype, to growing a customer base—and then guiding his company through the Covid-19 pandemic, Kenny understands the business and legal challenges entrepreneurs face, and he works with them to navigate these challenges and help their companies thrive.
Before joining Michael Best, Kenny was an Associate in the Start-up and Venture Capital practice group of a Midwest-based law firm. He was previously a corporate attorney in New York City with one of the U.S.’ largest firms. In these roles, Kenny advised entrepreneurs, investors and their portfolio companies, and major corporations on matters including mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, growth capital investments, and debt financings.
While in law school, Kenny was a Summer Associate for the same AmLaw10 firm where he began his legal career. Earlier, he served as a Judicial Intern for the Honorable Carol Bagley Amon, Chief Judge of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of New York
