Katelyn assists public and private companies with a variety of corporate and transactional matters, including corporate governance, business structuring, mergers and acquisitions, securities, tax, and succession planning.
She also negotiates, drafts, and reviews contracts such as stock and asset purchase agreements, as well as lease, escrow, shareholder, employment, consulting, non-compete, supply, and distribution agreements.
Additionally, Katelyn works closely with Michael Best’s Healthcare practice to help health industry clients navigate governance, transactional, and information security matters. She leverages a deep understanding of the complex issues health sector business face to provide tailored, actionable counsel to clients.
Prior to joining Michael Best, Katelyn was an Associate at a Wisconsin-based business law firm. While pursuing her J.D., she served as a legal extern for the Metro Atlanta Business Court where she researched complex business cases and helped draft judicial opinions. Earlier, Katelyn worked as a legal intern for a life insurance company. There, she researched a variety of corporate and healthcare issues.
