Jim Blair drives operational excellence, financial performance, talent management and integration across the Intellectual Property practice group at Michael Best. In collaboration with practice group and firm leadership, Jim optimizes workflows, aligns resources, and implements operational strategies that strengthen client service and team performance. He brings more than a decade of experience in legal operations, business management, and process improvement to his role.
Before joining Michael Best, Jim served as legal operations manager for a Fortune 500 industrial company, where he led digital transformation initiatives across a global legal department supporting all practice areas. He developed and executed strategies to enhance cost management, vendor engagement, and department-wide process efficiency through legal technology and workflow automation.
Earlier in his career, Jim held business operations leadership roles within an academic medical system, where he managed administrative teams, supported physician and staff operations, as well as streamlined HR, budget, and recruitment processes.
