Isadora assists Michael Best attorneys with domestic and foreign patent preparation and prosecution for life sciences inventions. She has a Ph.D. in neurobiology and specializes in the areas of biotechnologies, pharmaceuticals, molecular and cellular technologies, diagnostic systems and methods, medical devices, and immunology and vaccines.
Isadora drafts patent applications, office action responses, petitions, and appeal briefs, and works closely with clients and attorneys to develop prosecution strategies and ensure Bayh-Dole Act compliance. She also assists with interferences and due diligence, patentability, and freedom-to-operate searches, as well as litigation document review.
In her Ph.D. program, Isadora researched a variety of biological techniques and technologies, including genetic engineering and viral vector therapy. After obtaining her doctorate, she completed a fellowship at Northwestern University. Prior to joining Michael Best, Isadora spent more than 12 years as a patent agent at a national IP boutique.
