Overview

Clients turn to Erika for her advice and counsel regarding a wide variety of corporate matters, tapping into her experience in areas such as international issues, capital markets, real estate, and securities. Additionally, she leverages her passion and experience to provide strategic and pragmatic guidance for her clients who are involved in cryptocurrencies and blockchain technology.

Erika began her career with Michael Best as a summer associate. She also gained experience in the Student Honors Legal Program with the U.S. Securities & Exchange Commission (SEC) in the Division of Enforcement in Washington, D.C. While in law school, Erika researched cryptocurrencies and their pertinence to the SEC’s developing guidance and rulemakings.

Erika previously served as a Milton Stewart Fellow with an international firm in their New Delhi, India offices, researching foreign inclusion in capital markets in the U.S. and issues surrounding legal areas ranging from international arbitration to bankruptcy and other various corporate topics. She also interned with a law firm in Michigan, assisting with a variety of real estate transactions.

Honors & Recognitions

While pursuing her law degree, Erika was awarded the Outstanding Associate for Indiana Journal of Global Studies and Sherman Minton Moot Court Brief Writing Honors awards. She also received the CALI award for the highest grade in Negotiations. During her undergraduate education, Erika was awarded the Outstanding Undergraduate Student for Legal Studies and Dewey Newsom awards.
