Ena is an Associate in the firm’s Litigation practice. She defends and advocates for clients from a wide range of industries, including healthcare, real estate, finance, manufacturing, and more.
Prior to joining Michael Best, Ena was an Associate at a litigation-focused law firm, where she assisted attorneys with a variety of complex disputes. She drafted and responded to discovery requests, managed discovery processes, negotiated with opposing counsel and non-parties, defended depositions, and attended motion hearings and status conferences to prepare lead counsel for arguments. Ena also drafted a variety of communications including pleadings, motions, complaints, and other items.
Most recently, Ena’s efforts have focused largely on the healthcare industry, wherein she has represented health insurers in litigation involving claims of improper billing, breach of contract, and fraud. She has experience handling complex, high-value litigation from inception through resolution. Additionally, Ena gained experience serving as a first chair and conducting direct examinations of witnesses when she served as lead counsel in an asylum matter.
Earlier, Ena gained valuable experience as a Summer Associate by researching and drafting memoranda on procedural legal issues, and as a Summer Clerk at Northwestern Mutual. In this role, she assisted in-house counsel across all practice groups including tax, insurance products, and investment services.
