Eliana assists clients in drafting and prosecuting patent applications, with a focus on biomedical and artificial intelligence innovations. She applies her background in biomedical engineering, electrical engineering, and machine learning to support Michael Best attorneys in securing robust intellectual property protection.
Prior to joining the firm full-time, Eliana participated in Michael Best’s EDGE summer internship program where she supported patent prosecution projects and gained early experience in intellectual property law. While pursuing her degree, Eliana led a senior design project developing a wearable performance monitoring system for competitive figure skaters, inspired by her own experience in the sport. She also interned at ABB, where she gained hands-on experience with PLC programming, drive control systems, and hardware integration.
