He combines this experience with knowledge gained from his roles in the healthcare sector to provide clients with valuable insights into valuation and investment practices, sourcing and purchasing processes, transactional due diligence, regulatory processes, intellectual property considerations, and go-to-market strategy.
Don leverages this expertise along with Michael Best Strategies’ (Strategies) extensive network of contacts to assist clients in making the key connections that allow them to continue moving forward and achieving their objectives.
Before joining Strategies, Don was an Innovation Investment Manager at Advocate Aurora Health, one of the largest not-for-profit healthcare systems in the United States. In this role he worked with numerous stakeholders to evaluate new products, innovations, and opportunities. Additionally, Don supported the sourcing, evaluation, and financial reporting for strategic investments into early-stage companies and venture capital funds as co-manager of the system’s Corporate Ventures Program.
Earlier in his career, Don worked for Deutsche Bank investment banking and capital markets divisions, where he provided advisory and transactional guidance to companies and investors on pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and healthcare industry opportunities
Don also served as a Captain in the U.S. Marine Corps, completing three combat deployments while on active duty.
