Denise is a 30-year healthcare industry veteran with deep experience in marketing, sales, and profit & loss obtained through executive-level roles with regional private healthcare and Fortune 100 Insurance companies. Her knowledge is grounded in a robust managed care background encompassing all segments of the market; commercial, group Medicare, and specialty benefits.
In her most recent role as Chief Marketing Officer with Marsh McLennan, Denise successfully led growth, geographic expansion, and acquisition efforts to expand the benefits consulting practice of a $30M agency. During her tenure, the firm experienced unprecedented year-over-year growth with new service lines and client relationships. Denise previously worked at Humana, serving as CEO of the Michigan and Indiana markets. There she developed depth in matrixed and complex operating structures, effectively navigating oversight and bottom-line responsibility for all market operations.
As National Vice President for Sales Operations for United Health Care, Denise built up the supporting infrastructure of a $7B division, including marketing, training and development, compensation, and product design. She led engagements with business partners in project management, sales technology, advertising, and learning and development to enable effective implementations. Denise has also owned and operated a multi-carrier private insurance exchange, which had a distribution network of over 1,000 licensed agents. She designed a solution to attract top carrier partners and over 100 clients, through effective partnership with investors and a national benefit admin platform.
