Overview

Chris has a decade worth of experience representing clients in complex civil litigation and bankruptcy matters in North Carolina state and federal courts. He provides a client-focused approach to resolving disputes involving real estate, estates and trusts, creditors’ rights, business conflicts, and contract issues.

Prior to joining Michael Best, Chris served as an associate at a full-service law firm in eastern North Carolina, where he led and supported litigation across a broad spectrum of civil matters. His courtroom experience includes first-chair and second-chair roles in jury and bench trials, as well as appearances before bankruptcy courts and all levels of North Carolina’s trial and appellate courts.

While achieving his J.D., Chris completed internships at the North Carolina Court of Appeals, the Wake County Trial Court Administrator’s Office, and the United States Attorney’s Office.
