Caz has more than 30 years of experience in intellectual property law, particularly in the areas of software, computer, and mechanical inventions, including:
- Preparing and filing of patent applications;
- Counseling clients and providing opinions regarding the validity, infringement and enforceability of competitors’ patents;
- Negotiating intellectual property licenses, including patent, trademark, trade secret, confidentiality, and computer-related agreements.
He has recently focused on the increasingly important area of computer and cyber security protection, with an emphasis on cryptography.
Caz also has a great deal of experience in patent and trademark protection and enforcement in Europe, Japan, and China, having managed a worldwide intellectual property portfolio for a large manufacturer.
