Callie applies a technical background in mechanical and materials engineering to assist clients with preparation and prosecution of U.S. and international patent applications, patentability searches and analysis, prior art searches, and Office action responses.
Callie has experience in a wide range of technologies including power fastening tools, water heaters and related equipment, furniture systems having power distribution, and refrigerated merchandisers.
Recent matters include:
- Assisted attorneys with the successful prosecution of a pilot pin for a drill press before the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO)
- Ongoing patent protection regarding water heater equipment
- Assisted attorneys with the successful prosecution of a clamp assembly for electrically coupling a frame to a support structure before the USPTO
Prior to joining Michael Best, Callie completed a technology transfer internship with the UWM Research Foundation. She also served as a lab assistant in UWM’s Ergonomics Department.
