Overview

Brenna focuses her practice on corporate and transactional matters, supporting clients with business formation, strategic transactions, and everyday commercial needs. She works with companies across industries and brings a practical, client-centered approach to helping them move deals forward and meet their business goals. 

Before joining Michael Best, Brenna worked as an associate attorney and summer associate at her previous firm, where she supported a broad range of M&A and private equity matters. She has served as the primary associate on mergers and acquisitions ranging from $100,000 to over $250 million, drafting and negotiating purchase agreements, and other associated transactional documents.  

Brenna regularly supports private equity transactions involving both equity and debt, closing deals ranging from $500,000 to $27 million and leading equity raises, including a $3.5 million round. She advises clients in the distribution, dealer, and manufacturer sectors on regulatory requirements and standard commercial agreements, and she has experience supporting data privacy and incident response matters, including a breach affecting nearly 100,000 individuals 

Earlier in her career, Brenna gained experience in judicial and litigation settings, including serving as a Judicial Extern for Judge Charles P. Kocoras of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois and working as a law clerk supporting workers’ compensation matters.
