Overview

Ashley represents businesses with regard to corporate and transactional matters. Her clients include start-ups and other high-growth companies as well as large corporations in the U.S. and abroad. Prior to joining Michael Best, Ashley was an Associate in the Venture Capital and Private Equity practice of a national business law firm.

While pursuing her J.D., Ashley served as a Legal Fellow for U.S. Senator Tammy Duckworth (IL), where she drafted proposed legislation and prepared memoranda regarding pending bills covering wide range of policy issues. Ashley also gained experience as an in-house Legal Intern for Navistar Inc. There, she drafted service contracts with international affiliates, analyzed corporate governance issues, and drafted briefs on company policies in accordance with federal and state regulations. Earlier, Ashley was a Legal Intern for the American Bar Association’s South Texas Pro Bono Asylum Representation Project (ProBAR), which provides pro bono representation and pro se assistance to thousands of immigrants and asylum-seekers in Texas. Ashley also served as Co-Chair of Boston College Law School’s Client Counseling Competition during her 2L year.
