Overview

Andrew focuses his practice in transactional law, advising businesses on a range of matters encompassing mergers and acquisitions, commercial contracts, real estate transactions, and organizational structuring. He also assists clients with wealth planning matters including estate, tax, and business succession planning.

Before joining Michael Best, Andrew was an Associate with a boutique business law firm where he advised clients with regard to wealth planning and general business matters such as contracts, formation and reorganization, securities, employment, and compliance. Andrew also assisted with commercial litigation matters related to contractual and partnership disputes. He first began with the firm as a law clerk during his second year of law school.

Andrew gained additional practical experience while pursuing his J.D. at Marquette University Law School, serving as a summer associate with a northeastern Wisconsin law firm that focused in business and estate law. Earlier, Andrew completed an internship in the Office of Wisconsin State Representative John Nygren, the Co-chair of the state legislature’s Joint Finance Committee, where he assisted with research to inform budget proposals.

Andrew also served as President of the Marquette University Law School Estate Planning Society, and he assisted Law School Associate Dean Vada Lindsey with writing and publishing a textbook on the federal taxation of estates, gifts, and trusts. Before beginning his legal career, Andrew interned for a multinational dairy company as a financial analyst.
