Amy’s outstanding track record is built on successful outcomes in the full spectrum of labor, employment and business-related issues, in both litigation and non-litigation settings.

As a problem solver, Amy applies common sense and creativity to develop targeted employment-related solutions for her clients. She has substantial experience in delivering positive outcomes posed by issues involving:

  • Discrimination claims
  • Drafting and Enforcing Employment and related contracts
  • Breach of fiduciary duty claims
  • Restrictive covenants, including non-compete agreements, confidentiality/nondisclosure agreements, and non-solicitation agreements
  • Workers’ compensation
  • Wage and hour issues
  • Fair Credit Reporting Act compliance and claims
  • Insurance coverage disputes
  • Unfair labor practices charges
  • Labor disputes
 

Amy represents management in the negotiation of collective bargaining agreements. She also routinely advises employers on the day-to-day issues involved in the management of employees in both unionized and non-unionized workplaces.

Amy regularly participates in presentations and seminars focused on the full spectrum of labor and employment issues. 

Experience

Amy regularly prevails in both state and federal courts. She has:

  • Obtained judgment on behalf of employer against a former employee who joined a competitor on claims of breach of duty of loyalty and misappropriation of trade secrets in federal court in California
  • Mounted a successful defense on behalf of an employer in a jury trial in U.S. District Court for the Western District of Wisconsin on a Title VII claim
  • Obtained summary judgment on behalf of an employer and new employees in an action brought against them by a competitor/former employee seeking to enforce overly broad non-compete agreements in the U.S. District Court in the State of Washington
  • Successfully defended an employer in a state court jury trial against a breach of contract case in which the plaintiff – a former executive employed by our client – sought damages in excess of six figures
  • Forced the voluntary dismissal of a federal FLSA lawsuit against an employer following the deposition of the named plaintiff
