Abby brings a robust background in legislative matters to her role with Strategies. She provides a full range of government relations and public policy strategy services to clients, focusing on driving successful legislative and regulatory change.
Prior to joining Strategies, Abby was the director of legislation for the Illinois Lottery, where she was the general assembly liaison for the legislative session, created fact sheets and press releases, and met with legislators one-on-one to explain positions on legislation. She was also the deputy director of legislative affairs for Illinois’ Department of Human Services, a position in which she was senate liaison for the legislative session, researched and communicated pertinent legislative information, and communicated with legislators on constituent concerns on the department’s position on legislation.
Previously, Abby gained valuable experience in her role as chief of staff to Senator Bill Brady (who is now Senate Republican Leader), where she was responsible for the operations of the district and capitol offices, coordinating press efforts, and building and maintaining relationships.
