Known for his sound judgment, Chase provides clients with strategic guidance on public relations and government relations matters. He is skilled at developing strategies in order to adapt to unforeseen situations, proactively managing multiple teams and projects, and effectively communicating with all levels of elected officials, community representatives, corporate leaders, and the media.
Prior to joining Strategies, Chase was a founder and managing partner with Utah Policy Advocates, a full-service public relations, media, and government strategy firm, where he led national public relations campaigns on tax reform and corporate mergers.
He previously served as director of government relations for 1-800 Contacts, where his work included managing contract lobbyists, coordinating multistate legislative fights (both offensively and defensively), developing coalitions at the state and federal levels, and working with state Attorneys General and the Federal Trade Commission.
In 2014, Chase joined the Utah Republican Party as political director. In this role, he developed strategies that led to the largest Republican majority in more than 80 years. He organized polling, developed messaging, coordinated volunteer efforts, and canvassed across the state.
Chase was previously a lobbyist for the Utah Taxpayers Association, where he lobbied the Utah Legislature, counties, cities, and school districts across the state on tax and education issues. His work included numerous successful issue campaigns, defeating bond proposals, and bringing transparency to Utah government.
Chase began his career as a legislative staffer to Utah State Senator Howard Stephenson where he gained valuable experience of the legislative process, performed detailed research and provided analysis of issues. For more than five years, Chase also produced Red Meat Radio, a weekly radio show hosted by Senator Howard Stephenson and House Speaker Greg Hughes.
