Averil is a trial attorney whose practice focuses on complex commercial litigation. Averil handles all aspects of litigation in federal and state courts and arbitrations including domestic & cross border disputes. She has served as both first and second chair on jury trials, bench trials and arbitrations. Her versatile practice includes intellectual property litigation; real property litigation; securities litigation; bankruptcy litigation, business torts, partnership disputes, breach of fiduciary duty claims, fraudulent transfer claims, jurisdictional and venue disputes, alter-ego liability and multijurisdictional asset recovery.

Daniel assists companies with privacy and cybersecurity matters, from proactive approaches to breach response. He began his career with Michael Best as a law clerk, joining the firm as an associate attorney after obtaining his law degree from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law.

Matthew assists early-stage and emerging companies and investors with navigating the unique legal and regulatory challenges within the fast-growing cannabis industry.

Daniel advises clients on a variety of domestic and international tax matters. He represents public and private companies in many industries including technology, manufacturing, life sciences, energy, insurance, and more.
