Recent Employment Law Developments Affecting Utah Employers & Trade Secret and Non-Compete and Solicitation Risk Management

Legal Educational Series

EDCUtah member Michael Best & Friedrich LLP invites you to the first event in a series of EDCUtah member-only legal educational presentations.

Recent Employment Law Developments Affecting Utah Employers

The year 2015 brought a slew of employment law changes at the federal, state and local levels that can impact your workforce, policies and practices. In this seminar, Michael Best attorney Judson D. Stelter will discuss how to adapt and respond to these changes affecting Utah employers.

Trade Secret and Non-Compete and Solicitation Risk Management

As the electronic transfer of information has become easier, the temptation for incoming and departing employees to bring proprietary, confidential and trade secret information with them to their new jobs can be irresistible, creating substantial risks. Michael Best attorney Lisa R. Petersen will update attendees on the legal landscape and focus on practical actions and best practices businesses can adopt to protect their goodwill and intellectual property, while at the same time reducing legal exposure.

We will apply for CLE credit in Utah. The program is valid for Professional Development Credits for the SHRM-CPSM or SHRM-SCPSM, and PHR/SPHR credit will be available.

EDCUtah members can register by contacting Gabrielle Ganz at 414.277.3459 or by e-mail at gaganz@michaelbest.com.
