The U.S. Department of Labor (DOL) has released its new proposed overtime regulations. If implemented as-is, those proposed regulations would significantly increase the number of employees eligible for overtime. As the final regulations will be released shortly, many businesses are starting to plan for how they will classify employees once the final regulations take effect.
