Salt Lake City, UT (May 26, 2016) – Michael Best & Friedrich LLP announces that Joshua B. Erekson has joined the Transactional Practice Group as senior counsel in the firm’s Salt Lake City office. Erekson counsels clients in all areas of corporate law, including federal and state securities law compliance, the formation and financing of startup businesses, and mergers and acquisitions.
Prior to joining Michael Best, Erekson was corporate counsel at Huntsman Corporation where he focused on SEC regulatory compliance and general corporate legal matters. He was also an attorney at two California-based firms, including Cooley LLP (one of Silicon Valley’s most prominent law firms), where he represented private and public companies in general corporate matters including formation, capitalization, venture financings, and mergers and acquisitions.

Erekson received his J.D. from the University of California’s Hastings College of the Law. He earned his B.S. in Economics, with a minor in Business, and his B.A. in Political Science from the University of Utah. Erekson is a member of the Utah State Bar and the Salt Lake County Bar.
