CHICAGO (April 19, 2016) – Louise Arnott has joined Michael Best & Friedrich LLP as a trademark attorney in the firm’s Intellectual Property Practice Group.
Arnott focuses her practice on all aspects of trademark selection and protection, including domestic and international clearance, prosecution, maintenance, licensing, due diligence, policing and enforcement, including opposition and cancellation proceedings before the U.S. Trademark Trial and Appeal Board.
Prior to joining Michael Best, Arnott was an attorney at an intellectual property, marketing and information technology law firm based in Chicago. Before law school, she worked in the Intellectual Property Department of Abbott, a global healthcare and research company.
Arnott earned her J.D. from the Illinois Institute of Technology Chicago-Kent College of Law in 2014 and B.A. in Political Science from Miami University in 2010. She is active in a number of professional and community organizations, serving as a board member of the Auxiliary Board of Northwestern Memorial Hospital and Co-Chair of the Chicago Bar Association Young Lawyers Section’s Intellectual Property Committee. Arnott also volunteers for Northwestern Memorial hospital and Simply From The Heart, an organization dedicated to enriching the lives of patients through services that offer beauty, self esteem and well-being.
