Manitowoc, WI (April 6, 2016) – Michael Best & Friedrich LLP is pleased to announce Phillip R. Maples has joined the firm’s Manitowoc office as a partner in the Wealth Planning Services Group.
Maples has more than 20 years of experience in trust and estates, corporate and real estate law. He assists clients with estate, wealth and business succession planning, and advises businesses and individuals in employment, real estate, business transactions and related legal matters. Maples will continue to serve clients throughout northeastern Wisconsin, with a large portion of clientele in the Manitowoc and Door County areas.
Prior to joining Michael Best, Maples worked concurrently as General Counsel for Shoto Corporation and Of Counsel for a boutique law firm concentrating in the areas of business, trusts and estates, elder law and real estate. He also spent 13 years at a Whyte Hirschboeck Dudek, S.C., serving as Managing Shareholder of the firm’s Manitowoc office.
Maples received his J.D. from the University of Wisconsin Law School in 1992 and his B.A., with distinction, from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 1988.
In addition to serving as a guest lecturer at the University of Wisconsin Law School, Maples has held various board positions for organizations such as the Manitowoc Symphony Orchestra, University of Wisconsin-Manitowoc Foundation and Big Brothers Big Sisters of Manitowoc County.
