Milwaukee, WI (May 28, 2015) -- Hannah M. Schermerhorn has joined the Milwaukee office of Michael Best & Friedrich LLP as a Patent Engineer in the firm’s Intellectual Property Practice Group. Ms. Schermerhorn has a background in electrical engineering.
Prior to joining Michael Best, Ms. Schermerhorn was a Quality Engineering Intern for Plexus, where she researched regulatory standards, ensuring regulations were followed throughout the engineering design process. She also worked as a Product Marketing Specialist Intern at Cognex, working on machine vision systems, and as a Product Development Intern at EMTEQ, where she did technical writing for aerospace lighting applications.
Ms. Schermerhorn received her B.S. in Electrical Engineering and Technical Communications from Milwaukee School of Engineering (MSOE) in 2015, where she was a Student Government Senator, Head of the Issues Committee and Head of the Community Action Committee. She also received the MSOE Presidential Scholarship and was President of The Point of Grace Campus Ministry.
Ms. Schermerhorn is a member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) and the IEEE Eta Kappa Nu Honor Society.
