Her practice includes representation of management in all aspects of employment law, with a primary focus on employment-based immigration, including nonimmigrant petitions, permanent residence cases, naturalization applications and employment verification issues.

Fortier also has experience handling employment discrimination complaints, including state and federal claims as well as employee non-compete agreements and employee privacy issues.

Q: What is the most challenging case you have worked on and what made it challenging?

A: The most challenging case I have recently worked on involved green card processing for a software engineer. A small Wisconsin-based employer convinced the engineer to move to the U.S., despite the engineer’s concerns with the immigration process. We started a green card case for him even before he moved to the U.S. We handle many software engineer filings each year."
