MILWAUKEE, WI (November 11, 2014) – On Saturday, October 11, Michael Best & Friedrich LLP along with Marquette Law School students drafted nearly 100 estate planning documents free of charge for Milwaukee-area veterans. At the second Wills for Veterans event held at Marquette University’s Volunteer Legal Clinic, 23 veterans and their spouses received help with essential estate planning documents.
“It is an honor to provide legal services to these veterans and their families who have given and sacrificed so much for our country,” stated Ed Sarskas, Firm Pro Bono Chair. “Doing pro bono work is an important part of our firm’s commitment to our community and we’re proud to partner with the Marquette Volunteer Legal Clinic on this worthwhile project that serves such worthy individuals. We are looking forward to the next Wills for Veterans event next February.”
Participating attorneys from Michael Best included attorneys Alan Cheslock, Gregory Helding, Rhett Holland, Katrina Hull, Bradley Kalscheur, Andrew Paprocki, Timothy Teicher, and David Trautschold. Marquette University Law School students assisted and received instruction during the event.
