Michael Best Welcomes Back Utah Labor & Employment Lawyer Jud Stelter

Michael Best is pleased to announce that Jud Stelter has rejoined the firm’s Labor & Employment practice group in Salt Lake City. Stelter’s extensive experience in employment litigation and counseling, as well as his experience in complex traditional labor-related matters, will help to re-establish and build out a foundation for Michael Best’s Labor & Employment presence throughout Utah.

Stelter assists clients in federal and state courts across the United States, in arbitration proceedings, and before governmental agencies. His practice focuses on counseling and litigating in all aspects of employment law, including wage and hour, non-compete, trade secrets, discrimination and harassment, and traditional labor. Stelter is licensed to practice law in Utah and Ohio.

Stelter previously served as an adjunct professor at the Cleveland-Marshall College of Law at Cleveland State University, where his upper-level course focused on drafting transactional documents such as employment contracts and settlement agreements.

“Jud’s depth of knowledge in the labor and employment space is truly exceptional,” said Brian Paul, Chair of Michael Best’s Labor & Employment group. “We are thrilled to have him back at the firm as we continue to provide our clients with exceptional high-caliber legal expertise across the country.”

Stelter earned his J.D., magna cum laude, from Cleveland-Marshall College of Law, his M.S.S.A from Case Western Reserve University, and his B.S. from Brigham Young University.
