James Carroll Elected to Snap Inc.’s Safety Advisory Board

Michael Best is pleased to announce that James Carroll, former Director of the White House Office of National Drug Control Policy and current Principal with Michael Best Advisors, has been selected to serve on Snap Inc.’s newly rebuilt Safety Advisory Board. Carroll joins a highly respected group of experts in 9 countries, representing 11 different geographies and regions.

Snap Inc.’s Safety Advisory Board provides feedback and advice to assist in the progress of safety-related policies, project features, and other initiatives at Snapchat. Its goal is to continue fostering a safe and fun community on Snapchat for young people to connect and create.

Carroll has substantial federal government and legal experience, including serving as a legal advisor under two White House administrations. Additionally, he was unanimously confirmed by the United States Senate as the nation’s “Drug Czar”—a position he served in for three years.

In addition to his role as a principal with Michael Best Advisors, Carroll is also a Partner in Michael Best’s Washington, D.C., office. He has more than 30 years of experience as an attorney and a reputation as a go-to advisor for strategic business and policy counseling. He’s eager to bring his wealth of professional experience to Snap Inc.’s Safety Advisory Board.
