Michael Best Grows Cottonwood Heights Office With Addition of Bradley Madsen

Michael Best has welcomed Bradley Madsen as a Senior Counsel to its Litigation Practice Group. Madsen will be based in the firm’s Cottonwood Heights office.

With over a decade of experience in commercial litigation, primarily in trial preparation, trial practice, and appeals, Madsen has represented corporations and individuals across the insurance, real estate, oil and gas, education, healthcare, construction, retail, and banking industries. He has represented individuals and organizations in multiple jury trials, working on preparation, jury selection, oral argument, and jury instructions, receiving successful verdicts, including one motion that was settled on the morning of the first day of a six day jury trial.

“Bradley has an outstanding track record of success in the trial work he’s been involved in throughout his career. We’re impressed not only by his practice, but also by his strong ties and history within Utah,” said Steven Joffee, Managing Partner of the firm’s Utah offices. “Having argued several appeals before the Utah Supreme Court, Bradley’s loyalty to the area will make him an excellent fit to our Cottonwood team.”

Aside from his trial focus, Madsen also advises his clients on regulatory affairs, corporate governance, employment law, and contract negotiation. He has negotiated motor fuel supply agreements, officer and director employment agreements, antitrust issues, risk management, and sale and acquisitions of corporate entities.

“Bradley is a key example of the talent that continues to join the firm and he will be a strong asset in the Cottonwood team and Litigation group,” said Richard Ensor, Chair of the Litigation Practice Group. “His client base, representative experiences, and trial successes dovetails nicely with our existing bench of trial lawyers and positions him well to service our clients of all sizes in navigating their disputes.”

Madsen received his Bachelor of Science in Sociology from Brigham Young University, and his Juris Doctor from Brigham Young University J. Reuben Clark Law School.
