Diplomacy

Russia and Turkey backed a plan to export Ukrainian grain, but Ukraine was not part of the talks and is skeptical of the plan. Russia’s terms also continue to be the rollback of sanctions, which Turkey supports, but the West doesn’t.

Sanctions

Canada banned the export of support services, such as accounting and advertising, for Russia’s oil, gas, and chemical industries
Russian airlines may relocate to Turkey to evade sanctions.

Consequences

Belarus now exports more to Russia than Germany.

Ukraine Sitrep

The occupied Ukrainian region of Zaoprizhzhia may hold a referendum on joining Russia.

The Speaker of the Ukrainian Parliament made a plea for his country to be made a candidate for EU membership.

Ukraine is launching a “Book of Executioners” to detail Russia’s war crimes.
