Dan Kaufman Elected to National Association of College and University Attorneys Board of Directors

Michael Best is honored to announce that Dan Kaufman, Labor & Employment Partner from Chicago and one of the leaders of Michael Best’s Higher Education Group, has been elected to the National Association of College and University Attorneys (NACUA) Board of Directors. In this esteemed role, Kaufman will serve to uphold NACUA’s mission of advancing the effective practice of higher education attorneys for the benefit of the colleges and universities they serve.

Kaufman has been an active member of NACUA for almost 20 years, including being a speaker, moderator, and discussion leader at conferences; a working group committee co-chair for the Annual Conference; and a member of the committees to plan many conferences. His proven track record in counseling clients in the higher education sector has garnered countless honors by regional and national ranking organizations.

In addition to Kaufman, others have assumed new positions in NACUA as Officers and Board Members for 2022-2023. Notably, Melissa J. Holloway has been named to serve as the new Chair-Elect. Therese M. Leone was appointed to serve as Secretary for the NACUA Board. Finally, Kaufman is joined by Tamara J. Britt, Becca Gose, Xinning Shirley Liu, Rosa Liliana Palacios-Baldwin, and Danielle Uy to form the newly elected At-Large Class of the NACUA Board of Directors.
