Josh Figurski Included in BizTimes Media’s Notable LGBTQ+ Executive’s List

Michael Best & Friedrich LLP is pleased to announce that Josh Figurski, Intellectual Property Practice Group Manager, has been recognized as a Notable LGBTQ+ Executive in BizTimes Milwaukee’s second editorial feature. This special feature honors 15 individuals across the metro-Milwaukee area for their success, leadership, accomplishments, and advancement of diversity and workplace equality over the past 12-18 months.

Figurski continues to focus on broadening the Firm’s recruitment efforts to attract diverse talent and specifically within the patent engineering program. He is also a participant in Michael Best’s MODEL Leader program (Managed Outcomes: Developing Exceptional Leaders), which promotes collaborative problem-solving for challenging company processes and personnel issues that are integrated into daily leadership. He is an active member of Michael Best’s Leaders, Engineers, and Attorneys for Diversity (LEAD) group, which supports LGBTQ+ and ethnically diverse attorneys, professionals, and their allies. As a senior leader in the group, Josh provides mentorship to other members to foster their development and growth at the firm and outside of the firm.

Figurski’s involvement reaches beyond Michael Best. Since 2018, he has served on the Board of Review for the City of Pewaukee. Figurski also served the Volunteer Coordinator for the 2020 Palzewicz campaign for the Wisconsin 5th Congressional District seat, scheduling volunteers for office work, canvasing opportunities, and fundraising events. His involvement aimed to advance candidates that uphold progressive values and promote policy designed to support and protect diverse constituents in the community.
