Michael Best & Friedrich LLP is pleased to announce it will relocate its Denver office to Block 162, a new 30-story state-of-the-art building located at 675 15th Street. Michael Best plans to move in summer of 2022 to accommodate the firm’s growth and showcase its continued commitment to the Colorado community.
The firm will occupy the 20th floor in 15,000 square feet to house the current team of about 40 employees. In addition to the law firm, its affiliate firm, Michael Best Strategies, will also relocate its employees to this space. The relocation comes at a time when the firm is poised for ongoing growth in the Colorado market as it continues to recruit and retain top talent.
“We’re thrilled to expand our footprint at Block 162, a modern and accessible state-of-the-art building in the heart of Denver’s Central Business District,” said Shawn Stigler, Managing Partner of the firm’s Colorado offices. “Moving to this new space allows us to design a welcoming and flexible environment to benefit both our employees and our clients, and we can’t wait to get to work in the new space.”
Michael Best’s Denver office provides a broad range of strategic legal services, including business planning, intellectual property, labor & employment, estate planning, litigation and regulatory matters, and transactional and capital raising advice tailored to the city’s emerging industries in blockchain, cannabis, energy, natural foods, technology and telecommunications. The Denver office is also home to a number of attorneys on the firm’s Venture Best team who focuses on helping counsel high-growth businesses on their financial, organizational, and regulatory needs, as well as investment fund formation, private equity investments, venture capital and growth capital financing, and forming and growing start-ups.
In developing the new lease agreement, the firm worked with Matt Harbert and Alex Hammerstein of Raise Commercial Real Estate. Patrinely Group, LLC and USAA Real Estate are the real estate development firms that constructed the more than 595,000-square-foot, Class-A, speculative office building that is certified LEED Gold Core and Shell.
“While we continue to evolve as a firm, this move demonstrates our commitment to growth in downtown Denver,” said Susan Hollender, Chief Growth Officer. “The decision to migrate into Block 162 highlights our dedication to a progressive and contemporary way to engage with our clients coupled with the demands of our team who desires an environment to intersect wellness and productivity.”
The firm will remain in its current location at 1776 Lincoln Street until the move to their new office mid-year of 2022.
