The FMLA and the ADA impose significant requirements on employers (and their supervisors) to properly respond to employee requests for medical leaves of absence or other workplace accommodations. If not complicated enough already, the COVID 19 pandemic has generated a surge of unique requests from employees and additional compliance obligations.
