North Carolina currently does not allow the corporate ownership of dental practices. However, it is clear that the market is changing and dentists are constantly bombarded with information about dental service organizations (DSOs) and corporate practices. At the same time, they are hearing about the involvement of private equity (PE) and venture capital (VC) in the dental space.
