The American Rescue Plan Act, the latest COVID-19 relief law, created two different tax subsidies that start April 1. The first is an extension of the voluntary FFCRA leave. The second is a mandatory 100% subsidy of COBRA coverage premiums for involuntary terminations or reductions in hours. Employers will need to take steps to affirmatively implement and handle the COBRA subsidies and certain employers will need to revamp their voluntary FFCRA leave provisions to ensure continued compliance with the Internal Revenue Code to receive the tax credit. This webinar will address these new requirements and their impact on employers.
