Michael Best is pleased to announce that David Crass has been named the Managing Partner of the firm’s Washington, D.C., office. A former resident of the Madison, Wisconsin office, Crass is a member of the firm’s Management Committee and also serves as Co-Chair of the Agribusiness, Food & Beverage Industry Group.
In addition to his new responsibilities, Crass will continue to focus his practice in the environmental, regulatory, agricultural production, manufacturing and distribution, and renewable energy sectors on a regional and national level. He counsels clients on environmental, regulatory, project development, and legislative matters, including enforcement defense, compliance counseling, project development structure and permitting. Crass has nearly 30 years’ experience representing the Firm’s clients in administrative and regulatory matters. He will work closely with the D.C. office of the firm’s affiliate Michael Best Strategies (MBS), a consulting firm specializing in lobbying, government relations, crisis management, and community/stakeholder engagement strategies to provide clients an integrated legal/policy solution.
