Carbon Neutrality Could be Profitable: Attaining Key Environmental Goals By Pioneering New Innovative Profit Streams

American Dairy Coalition

This free presentation, open to all producers and allied industry, will feature a panel of experts who will provide cutting-edge information for producers when considering additional revenue streams for their dairy operations, from renewable natural gas (RNG) projects and awarded environmental carbon credits to adopting sustainable greenhouse gas emission reduction practices through the “Net Zero Initiative.”

  • The Net Zero Initiative (NZI) is an industry-wide effort that makes progress in reducing greenhouse gas emissions by helping farms to adopt sustainable practices, which will ultimately provide a return on investment.
  • Lucrative environmental credits issued by California under its Low Carbon Fuel Standard (LCFS) are driving the development of dairy farm-based renewable natural gas (RNG) projects. Monetary credits are tied to the amount of “avoided emissions “ as a result of farm-based greenhouse gasses reduced by RNG projects.

Learn more about methods to reduce emissions and what important factors dairy operations should consider before entering into environmental credit agreements during this informative presentation.
