Michael Best is pleased to announce six attorneys have been promoted to the firm’s partnership. The newly named partners are as follows: Kenneth M. Albridge III, Joseph D. Brydges, Joshua B. Erekson, Brian W. Jacobs, Brian J. N. Marstall, and Kelly R. Rourke.
Kenneth M. Albridge III (Madison) is member of the Litigation Practice Group who represents clients in patent, trademark, copyright, and other complex commercial disputes. Albridge earned his J.D. from The John Marshall Law School and his B.S., cum laude, from the University of Missouri-Columbia.
Joseph D. Brydges (Madison) is a member of the firm’s Litigation Practice Group focusing on representing clients in a variety of commercial litigation matters including contract disputes, insolvency and collection matters, including foreclosures, replevin and bankruptcies, negligence and intentional tort actions including fraud and theft by contractor. Brydges earned his J.D. from Marquette University Law School and his B.S. from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
Joshua B. Erekson (Salt Lake City) is a member of the Transactional Practice Group and advises public and private companies in all realms of corporate law, including federal and state securities law compliance, the formation and financing of start-up businesses, and mergers and acquisitions. Erekson earned his J.D. from the University of California Hastings College of Law, his B.S. and B.A. from the University of Utah.
Brian W. Jacobs (Milwaukee) is a member of the firm’s Intellectual Property Practice Group. Jacobs advises clients on the preparation and prosecution of patent applications, as well as clearance and infringement matters, focusing on electrical, computer, and software technologies. Jacobs earned his J.D. from Marquette University Law School and his B.S. from Marquette University.
Brian J. N. Marstall (Washington, D.C.) counsels clients across various industries in developing comprehensive strategies for a wide range of intellectual property issues. Marstall advises clients regarding preparation and prosecution of patent applications; enforcement of patents; identification and avoidance of potential patent infringement; and negotiation of intellectual property licenses and agreements. Marstall earned his J.D. from Saint Louis University School of Law and his B.S., summa cum laude, in mechanical engineering from the University of Missouri-Columbia.
Kelly R. Rourke (Milwaukee) is a member of the Labor & Employment Relations Practice Group who assists employers with administrative law matters, focusing her practice primarily on employment-based immigration. Rourke earned her J.D. from Marquette University and her B.A. from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.
