Based out of the firm’s Milwaukee office, Arroyo is a partner in the Labor & Employment Relations practice and a member of the firm’s Higher Education and Unfair Competition & Trade Secrets teams. He represents employers in a range of traditional management-side employment matters regarding protected class discrimination, retaliation, and disability accommodation issues. Arroyo has developed a significant practice focusing on employee defection and recruitment, including litigating injunction and damage actions relating to: covenants not to compete, non-solicitation and non-disclosure agreements, unfair competition, trade secrets, duty of loyalty, the Computer Fraud & Abuse Act, and state trade secrets and unfair competition statutes. Arroyo has represented clients in numerous industries including banking and securities brokerage, print media, software, medicine, automotive parts manufacturing, construction, commercial chemical, trucking, and industrial HVAC. Arroyo also advises colleges, universities, and K-12 schools on all matters of school law, from Title IX, Section 504, and public records and open meeting compliance to student and faculty discipline. Arroyo serves on the Board of Directors for Make-a-Wish Wisconsin and Trans-Center for Youth.
Leon, a Chicago employee benefits partner, has more than 20 years of experience counseling employers in the manufacturing, education, defense, IT, and food and beverage industries on the design, establishment, and maintenance of retirement plans. Additionally, he has been involved in ground-breaking matters that have helped establish current benefits law and policy, has helped clients during high-stakes litigations and transactions and has ensured that several hundred thousand workers across the country can meet their retirement needs. At the firm, Leon is co-group leader of the Employee Benefits practice and chair of the Diversity & Inclusion Committee. With his leadership, Leon has helped establish policies to promote diversity and inclusion in the workplace in all firm offices. Leon also supports the Chicago Latino community through various roles, including board service with Gads Hill Center and the Hispanic Lawyers Association of Illinois Charities. Leon has been recognized by various organizations for his leadership and contributions, and his views on benefits law and diversity are regularly sought by national publications.
Olivieri is a labor & employment attorney who also serves as the managing partner of the firm’s Milwaukee office. He is also the co-chair of the Higher Education Industry Group, the founder of the firm’s immigration law practice, and the former chair of the firm’s Labor & Employment Relations Practice Group. José counsels colleges and universities on issues including, employment matters, governance, Title IX, student discipline, and labor contract administration. Clients also depend on José’s deep knowledge of and experience with U.S. immigration law and employment-based immigration matters, such as immigration status, consular processing, citizenship and naturalization, among others. He has been recognized as a leading immigration lawyer by Chambers USA since 2008, was named 2018 Best Lawyers in America®, “Lawyer of the Year” for Employment Law – Management in Milwaukee, and received the 2016 Executive Leadership Award from the Hispanic Professionals of Greater Milwaukee. José is an active member of various community and professional organizations, including roles as Board President of Milwaukee’s United Community Center and Chair of Carroll University’s Board of Trustees, and Chair of the Academic Affairs Committee at Mount Mary University.
