MILWAUKEE (October 11, 2018) – Michael Best is pleased to announce Brent E. Aussprung has been honored as one of eight named Graduate of the Last Decade by the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. Aussprung, among 24 other alumni, was selected based on his outstanding professional achievements, civic involvement, and partnerships with the University.
“The University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee is fortunate to have so many influential and dedicated alumni, not only in this region, but also across the country and throughout the world,” said Adrienne Bass, Associate Vice Chancellor of Alumni Relations.
Aussprung works with clients to protect their investment in product development with patents. He also helps client design teams avoid infringing competitors’ patents with their product designs. With a background in mechanical engineering, Aussprung has particular experience in product categories including power tools, mining equipment, motor vehicles, commercial cleaning systems, outdoor power equipment, fluid pumps, office furniture, athletic equipment, and more.
“We’re thrilled to have Brent as part of our IP team at Michael Best,” said Stephen Gigot, Chair of the firm’s Intellectual Property Practice Group. “Brent’s involvement both at Michael Best and in the community is exemplary, and we’re looking forward to watching his future accomplishments.”
In 2014, Aussprung received his B.S., summa cum laude, from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. He is a member of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers, as well as the Tau Beta Pi National Engineering Honor Society.
