Partner Timothy Schally will speak on the panel “Federal Tax Reform – International Issues and Their Impact on the States” at the NYU 37th Institute on State and Local Taxation (SALT) on December 18, 2018.

This panel addresses key state tax implications of the international provisions of federal tax reform. The discussion includes the Section 965 ‘toll charge’ on deemed repatriated foreign earnings, the related concepts of global intangible low-taxed income (GILTI) under new Section 951A and foreign-derived intangible income (FDII) under new Section 250, as well as the base erosion and anti-abuse tax (BEAT) under new Section 59A.
