This week in intellectual property attorneys on the move, Michael Best & Friedrich LLP boosted the intellectual property group in its Denver office with the addition of four former Lathrop Gage attorneys. Here are the details on these and other hires.
Scott Alter, Alexander Clayden, Stephen Horace and Jon Trembath officially joined Michael Best as partners this month. Alter focuses his practice on client counseling and patent prosecution in the areas of electronics, software and communications, while Clayden’s work revolves around IP litigation regarding business and commercial disputes.
Horace is primarily a trademark and trial lawyer and will continue to focus on the protection and defense of his clients’ brands, while Trembath plans to keep at patent litigation and appeals, according to the firm.
“Michael Best is a dynamic, growing and very collegial full service firm with a very strong patent and trademark group,” Horace said. “I am excited to join this team and help grow the Denver office, and I am excited to make this move with three partners with whom I work and for whom I have great respect.”
