Estate Planning in 2017 & Beyond

WICPA Tax Conference

Both President Donald Trump and the House Republicans have outlined tax reform proposals, including changes to the transfer tax system. With the ever-changing rules and uncertainty about how long particular tax regimes are in place, professionals advising clients on estate planning matters must look at techniques that provide increased flexibility, while still accomplishing the clients’ goals related to not just how much their intended beneficiaries receive through inheritance, but how those assets are received and held. Partner Brad Kalscheur will be a member of the panel discussing drafting for flexibility, not just for taxes, but also related to continuing trusts for beneficiaries and how those trusts are administered.
