Data Privacy and Its Impact on Employers

Data privacy obligations come from many directions, including in a company’s role as an employer. Several laws impose privacy protections that can go unnoticed. In this briefing, attorneys Adrienne S. Ehrhardt and Kirk A. Pelikan will explore the obligations that arise under these laws and how employers can ensure compliance and stay out of the newspaper. Particular focus will be paid to FMLA, ADA, HIPAA, FCRA, GDPR, employee monitoring, and pending government enforcement priorities.

We will apply for CLE credit in WI, CO, IL, MT, NC, TX, UT, and VA (if applicable). The program is valid for Professional Development Credits for the SHRM-CPSM or SHRM-SCPSM, and PHR/SPHR credit will be available.
