Milwaukee, WI (June 5, 2017) – Michael Best proudly announces the United Way of Greater Milwaukee & Waukesha County’s selection of attorney Danielle M. Bergner as a 2017 Philanthropic Five Awards recipient. The award recognizes five community leaders in their 20s, 30s, and 40s who give, advocate, and volunteer for change throughout Greater Milwaukee and Waukesha’s nonprofit community.
Bergner serves as the Managing Partner for the Milwaukee office and is the co-chair of the firm’s Real Estate Practice Group. Bergner focuses her practice on real estate law including real estate development and finance, urban brownfield redevelopment, tax credit development, land use and zoning, tax incremental financing, and more.
Bergner dedicates much of her time to the community where she focuses her efforts on areas of education, health, and community development. Serving as the board president for CORE/El Centro Inc., Bergner actively supports programs like Integrative Health, Acupuncture, and Thriving with Cancer which improve health outcomes for a wide range of people, including the traditionally underserved. She is also a board member for Forward Community Investments, Inc., the outgoing chair of community affairs for Professional Dimensions..
Not only has Bergner been recognized as an advocate in the community, she has also received numerous professional honors and recognitions including being recognized as one of the “40 Under 40” by the Milwaukee Business Journal in 2015, being named a “Leader of the Future” by Milwaukee’s Public Policy Forum in 2014, and being honored as a 2010 “Up and Coming Lawyer” by the Wisconsin Law Journal.
Bergner will be honored at an event hosted by the United Way of Greater Milwaukee & Waukesha County on June 8, 2017, at The Atrium in Shorewood, Wisconsin.
