“We would like to congratulate Sarah Flotte as our February Volunteer of the Month! Sarah has been generously volunteering her time to Make-A-Wish since early 2012 as a member of the Associate Board. She is currently serving as President of the Associate Board and recently completed her first wish as a Wish Granter! Sarah is described by Special Events Specialist Kelsey Regan as “an amazing leader, and continuously takes initiative to further our mission.”
Sarah attended the University of Michigan before moving from her home state to Illinois in pursuit of her JD from DePaul Law School. Sarah is a Partner with Michael Best & Friedrich LLP.
In addition to her role on the Associate Board, Sarah has worked on numerous events ranging from Wish Ball to the Chicago Walk for Wishes event. From working on Walk for Wishes, Wish Ball and I Wish to Party she has enjoyed being able to see the final outcome of the events and how much they raise for the organization. Sarah has also enjoyed building lasting relationships with wish families and other wonderful volunteers who share the same passion in bringing hope, strength and joy to enrich the human experience. Sarah enjoys being a part of such an aspiring mission. “It’s so cool to see the impact of a wish not only on children, but entire families and communities as well!”
“As President, Sarah does a fantastic job of representing the Associate Board at our quarterly Board of Directors meetings by sharing her opinions and valuable input into our organization’s strategic goals. Sarah also manages to secure in-kind donations for both wishes and events, which reduces costs and enhances them for attendees.” shares Kelsey.”
